These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Mentra (the “Service”), operated by Motivus Cloud (“Mentra,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Mentra is
Mentra is a personal cash-flow and budgeting tool that helps you understand your finances using figures you provide. It presents balances, projections, and suggestions to help you make decisions.
Not financial advice. Mentra is an informational tool, not a financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advisor. Its figures, forecasts, and recommendations are estimates based on the information you enter and are provided for general informational purposes only. They are not a guarantee of any outcome. You are responsible for your own financial decisions, and you should consult a qualified professional before making important ones.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
3. Your account and security
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
- Two-factor authentication is required. You are responsible for safeguarding your password, authenticator device, and recovery codes, and for all activity under your account.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access it without authorization, interfering with its operation or security, reverse-engineering it, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
5. Text messaging
By providing your mobile number and continuing, you consent to receive one-time verification codes by SMS from Mentra for account verification and security. These are transactional messages only — we do not send marketing texts. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency depends on your activity. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. 6. Third-party and future services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, for messaging and hosting). Any optional feature that connects to external accounts, such as bank-account syncing, will be clearly disclosed and subject to the applicable provider’s terms and to your separate authorization.
7. Service “as is”
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its estimates will be accurate.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mentra and Motivus Cloud will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or financial loss, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
9. Changes and termination
We may modify or discontinue the Service, and we may update these Terms, at any time. When we change these Terms, we will update the “Last updated” date above; your continued use means you accept the changes. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Motivus Cloud is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
